I bought two of these - one red, one black - and although both are described as 1" wide, only the red one is actually 1". This black one is actually 3/4 inch. This sea belt leash is a great idea but in fact this particular model is probably intended for small to medium sized dogs with a soft and docile nature. Unfortunately, my dog does not match any of the above descriptions. Now I understand that I sacrificed quality for the price.
