We have a 50 pound husky who is, shall we say, a little crazy about cars. The excitement is just too great. We had previously bought her a different puppy harness that relied on a different mechanism (the 'lock' function of the harness material itself) to keep the dog from moving around the booth too much. Unfortunately, her newest seat belt was no match for a 50-pound insane husky determined to get into the front seats. I wasn't entirely sure if this seat belt would be any better - I was worried the construction might be too flimsy to handle all the folly. But I ordered it anyway, thinking it would be under $10. In short, this harness has now been tested in the field and has received a raucous approval. The clamping mechanism perfectly matches our Ford Focus buckles with a secure closure. (Are there any standard sizes for seat belt buckles? I have no idea.) Even the adjuster buckle, which allows you to shorten or lengthen the actual part of the seat belt, stays in place, at least for now. Hooray! We can finally drive to the park without our dog trying to drive!
