Disappointment. I thought I found the perfect clips to frame my painting. nope No, as long as the border width is less than 1 inch. Subtract 1/4 inch if you want to use rubber pads. The frame is cut, glued and ready to use. But don't go. Brackets cannot hold more than 3/4 -1 inch wide. Partly my fault for not understanding what it says it can only handle up to 22mm and I didn't convert to inches. But the ads I've seen show people just tightening these things up, but it actually takes brute force to compress the spring to the max. Once attached, do not move them, they pop out easily. I would say 1/2 inch is a really comfortable width to work with.
