I only had a few drones before. Prices had come down a bit and it looked like new fun for little money. It's easy to fly, has a few unexpected features, and is stronger than I thought it would be. My first impression was how light this mid-sized drone was. I was surprised. This keeps the components and battery light, which reduces costs. The only caveat to light weight is when there is wind. It is best to fly this bird when the sky is calm. A little breeze is fine, but steering is tricky when things get choppy. Well sized controller, feels good in adult hands. It has a comfortable texture, the surface feels soft, like rubber. Well-suited for both novice and experienced drone users, there are a number of features that go beyond standard flying. There is a 3D flip command that rotates 360 degrees left or right. The controller also features automatic takeoff and landing, headless mode (good for beginners), three speed options, and a basic return command. A dedicated photo button lets you take photos and start and stop videos. The drone has a micro SD card slot. Quite nice for the money. But that's not all. In addition to controlling the drone with the included controller, there is also a smartphone app that offers several other options. The app can recreate the controls so you can fly using just your phone. You can also take photos and videos recorded on your phone. What was particularly cool was that the drone has two cameras. Typical front camera AND downward facing camera for better hovering. The app lets you switch views, create a downward-facing picture-in-picture in a small box, or even create a split screen. In the video where I flew the drone under my car, there is a very short passage about the possibilities of PIP. The drone also recognizes gestures - the peace sign starts a 3-second timer and takes a photo. When you form a rectangle with your thumb and forefinger of both hands, the video recording starts. He also recognizes the open hand stretched out to him. It follows your hand up or down. The smartest trick he can pull is to follow you everywhere. The app places blue boxes around anyone it recognizes in the front-facing camera's field of view; You choose who to follow by clicking on the person's box. The box turns red and follows the person. During the time I was evaluating the drone to write a review I was unfortunate enough to be quarantined due to a family member testing positive for Covid (she is fine). That's why all the pictures are of my house. couldn't go! I would try to document some of the features mentioned, but with only one mobile phone I couldn't use the app and record a video at the same time. The only real problem I could find was that the software needed further development or refinement. When the drone is powered on, it broadcasts its own WiFi signal. You connect to its signal to send the video to your phone. Sometimes he had trouble connecting to the drone cameras, and sometimes he had to reconnect multiple times before he was able to stay connected. That's why I don't have more drone footage in flight. All in all, it's fun to fly. I wish there was a second battery included. The flight time is 12-15 minutes depending on how strong and fast you fly. The included charger can charge the battery in about 90 minutes. I would suggest getting some spare batteries to keep the fun going.
