I bought this TV to replace our 2005 Panasonic 50 inch Plasma TV. Living room. I was arguing between this and the 65" LG OLED. I didn't really think about it until I went to the store and saw the difference in picture quality. The OLED displays were AMAZING! and I was so close to getting one That adds about $1,800 to my price, though, and I'll admit I was put off by some claims about dimming and image burn-in, oddly similar issues back in 2005 with plasmas, I also decided to save some money .I liked the brightness and picture quality, magic remote control and smart tv aspects. It all works so well. But when I was watching a new movie on a Blu-ray player I was let down by the picture quality.I felt , like watching an old soap opera or TV movie with bad special effects and poor camera quality Short story: It turns out that most LED TVs have a TruMotion option, which by default moderately activated. It takes a 24 fps source and interpolates a new frame between each frame, producing a 48 fps display. That is the reason for the strangeness of the picture. I went into the menu and toggled it off and on. I LOVE this TV now. My films look like Hollywood blockbusters again!
