The toys themselves are good - they work as rattles and teethers. It's hard to say exactly what material they're made of. My main rating will be on the ability to cook them. As I cooked them, they filled with water. Eventually it shrank, but it wasn't as easy as the instructions made it sound. I also couldn't let my toddler use them for a few days until they were completely dry. Another review will deal with the box itself. It's a good addition to keep them out, but the lid is very heavy and it's easy to crush kids' fingers. You just couldn't let your child play with the crate, but it would be nice if the crate was child-friendly.
