We bought this set for our twin granddaughters just before they were two years old. They love it! At first they didn't mind that it was a bit high and they've been using it every day since. The height was beneficial not only in that it lasted longer, but also served as an extra work surface for the kitchen, especially when the twins are "helping out" with cooking or baking. They now have a little sister who wants to join them at the table, so we just ordered a set of two extra chairs. Before assembling the table, we purchased 8 new 3" reviewer recommended screws just for the table and the set proved to be quite durable. Four stars instead of five because the coating on the top of the table is peeling off in several strips. A good coat of clear vartan applied to the countertop before use should help, or ask the pros at hardware stores. Otherwise, there are felt-tip pens for mending furniture, but the kids don't care. They are too busy eating, drawing and painting, helping with cooking, solving puzzles and playing with toys!
