When the item arrived I was surprised to find that the material was some type of spandex/cloth on the outside. I was expecting a harder/tougher material on the outside to protect from impact. This case is really meant to keep your laptop scratch free not meant for any actual protections from falls or any type of physical impact. I wish I had returned it after I opened the box and saw the material. Bag fell two feet to the ground and got ripped up. My $3,000 macbook is now mangled. Huge regret.
