No smell. Designed for wooden floors but works on almost any floor. Designed for use with the Swiffer Wet-Jet Mop. It's the one that has little rectangular pads that you attach to the bottom of the handle instead of using a bucket and press like the mops of old did. As far as I know these different wiper fluids can be used interchangeably for Swiffer. So if you're using the "Wooden Floor" variety this time and next time you need something with a nicer smell, you can use a different liquid without hesitation. Buy a new Swiffer pen/dispenser. Detergency is not the best. For complex sticky messes, you need to use a different method. But for light dust, light grease, and a small amount of water-based mud, the Swiffer will get the job done. You should first sweep with a broom to get the dirt out of the way and then use the Swiffer as it's easier than a regular mop. Note: cleaning pads are not meant to be reused, change pads after cleaning each medium to large room or you will just smear dirt on the floor.
