Tired of swapping out cheap 3-way light bulbs from the grocery store, I decided to go with an inexpensive name brand bulb. Bought May 3rd. Lost one "speed" November 30th. So basically it took 7 months. Now I have a 100 watt lightbulb. I don't think it's much better than the cheap ones. *** Mind you, I only installed one of the four and it is in the main lamp, but still. maybe I'll have better luck with other damn updates. December 20th, and it completely exploded. I replaced it with another one from the same order/box. Let's see how long this one lasts. Updated update. October 11 (2018), and this burned down completely. All three speeds at the same time. (I know, I know, both filaments) So I have almost 10 months on bulb #2. Again, replace it with another Up upgrade. April 16, 2019, and this one is a complete failure too. So for bulb #3 it was only 6 months. Forward to the last, #4 Up Up update. December 10, 2019. This one was completely burned out. All at the same time. Just 8 months. So, let's do the math, and on average they lasted 7 to 8 months each? So it's up to you to decide whether or not they're worth it depending on the current price.
