I am giving this review a high rating because they do not claim that it works as a teleprompter. I tried it and it doesn't work as well as I expected. However, as a phone mount on shoes, this is a good item, hence five stars. CAN THIS WORK AS A TELESUFTOR FOR A PHONE? I have a SONY ZV-1 camera and use it on my home office monitor for Zoom calls and occasionally to record business videos on Youtube. I was curious how well this phone camera mount would work with a phone as a "teleprompter". It seemed a lot simpler than a big contraption with big mirrors and whatnot. There's even a company that offers free teleprompter reading software on a website (free, not an app) that scrolls on the phone. WILL NOT WORK AS A PHONE TELEPROMPTER (TOO LARGE ANGLE) When mounted on my SONY ZV-1 camera, my Iphone 12-mini's screen center is 4 inches above the center of the lens. I sat about 2-3 feet back (that's how far you could read the phone anyway). I was surprised that it was VERY obvious (even leaning back a few feet) whether I was looking at the phone, 4 inches above the lens, or looking directly at the lens. live and learn So I went back to buying a "real" but economical teleprompter with a 45 degree mirror.
