I recently bought a 2700x and the Wraith Prism cooler that came with it was VERY noisy to me. I already had a Cryorig R1 Ultimate from an I5 8400 so I decided to give it a try instead. The included backplate doesn't fit like previous AMD sockets. When I saw this AM4 mount I immediately ordered it and shipped it overnight. It arrived on time BUT it uses a stock AMD backplate and will NOT work. I have an ASUS ROG STRIX X 470-F motherboard and with the included hardware I still have a gap of about 1/8" where the backplate is not attached to the motherboard. For those in doubt, YES it was installed and tightened correctly. If you have an R1 Ultimate/Universal this simply will NOT work. I love the cooling abilities of the R1 Ultimate but I wouldn't recommend using it for newer ones I would suggest either the dedicated Noctua AM4 cooler (I've heard they fit) or the DeepCool Gammaxx GT (which I have and which FITS) and don't waste your time and money with this kit
