This is exactly what I wanted! The color changing aspect is fun, but what I want is a seamless gradient between the warmer nail bed and the cooler nail tip. Here's what I did: 1. Shake and shake and shake the paint. Shake it 3 times as long as you think necessary, then shake it again.2. I applied a gel base coat and dried under my UV lamp for 60 seconds (don't forget the sunscreen!). I applied three THIN coats of paint - don't forget to "close" each nail! - polymerizes within 60 seconds between coats. For those new to gel nail polish, if ANY of it gets on your skin or cuticles, peel it off completely before it cures. Otherwise, after a few days, it will increase immediately. Gel top coat that cures in 60 seconds. TIP: Most of the work on a gel manicure is done before you touch the nail with color. So make sure you soften, trim and push back the cuticles, file and shape your nails and make sure they are clean and dry. Then it can go. That's all! For those interested in the color change, it's pretty much instant, so it's a lot of fun too!
