Good. Firstly, this thing doesn't come with a cable, but it doesn't advertise anywhere that there is one. However, I took mine from the Fleas because Revane didn't have it when I needed it. For this drive I used mine for the Dell Optiplex 780 Small Form Factor. I needed an NT424 cable. I only paid $5.99 for this cable and it's from Dell. Now for the multidrive. This is a genuine Dell product. I had another multidrive of a different but regular Dell size and the faces were accurate. The difference between the two is at the back. The one we're talking about just has a sleek metal frame assembly. DANGEROUS! Make these changes at your own risk! You fiddle with electricity, tools and sharp metals. If you try to follow my instructions but do not know what you are doing, serious injury or death may result. ). HD was removed to install NT424. These routes are easy and the length is quite long. Then I swapped the HD. Next, if you're working on a small form factor computer, you know the drive won't fit as is. Next you need to remove the rear screws from the drive. Then try to put it in the tray. It doesn't fit, but we see what needs trimming. Rather than just removing what needed to be removed, I stripped the entire backing down to the center screw holes (there is a photo of me pointing out the hole). The tools I used were simple. I only used airplane scissors but you could even use a nail file to loosen and bend them. Anyway, I slowly cut until I got what I wanted. I then used pliers to straighten the remaining tabs so they lined up with the brackets in the computer after installing the screws. Notice when you look at the drive, again the picture my finger is pointing at, you don't need that screw like I have in the other picture. What you need to do is protect the wires. I added shrink wrap but you can use masking tape as well. Now that I've thought about it a little more, after I'm done with this review, I'll cut off the tongue on the case. It's not attached to anything and just clamps the wires. Check out the picture of the final mod, but I'll also leave the picture with the leg and heatshrink attached in case you don't want to go that far or your application is a bit different than mine. ignite. The face should be similar to mine, tense, and all the inscriptions should face the same direction. I'm using Linux so you know I don't have any hardware or software issues. :oD But seriously, the disk was recognized immediately and I had an SD card with photos from my camera. The drive is fast and I haven't had any problems. I'm happy with this multidrive, but I have to wonder if Dell did that when they put these drives in small form factor computers? To edit. Just got back from another hull modification and it's easier than I thought. Now he doesn't even touch the wires. I ended up putting tape on the corner to hide the cut. All in all, I'm very happy that my computer now has a multi-disk drive. this is what i wanted but a little refinement lost a star. Still, I'd rate it a 4.5. If you have any questions let me know. Hope that helps.
