Three across - Check. Reliable, safe - tested. Easy to get in and out of the child and buckle up - check. NO twisted straps? Test. Lasts TEN YEARS! To verify. I bought one of these for my little granddaughter a year ago and when it came time to convert my grandson from his rear-facing car seat to a forward-facing car seat I wanted to save money so I bought a significantly less expensive car seat. What mistake. It was a royal agony getting it tightened properly in the back seat and every time I had to buckle my grandson it was a struggle (and he never felt fully tightened on her chest) and the seat belts usually buckled. After a year of complaining about this junk I bought another Diono Radian 3R. Yes it is significantly more expensive BUT everything about it is worth the price and I will have it for 10 years ie it will go through several grandchildren which will save me money in the end. The bonus is how tight it is. I now have a new baby grandson whose rear-facing child car seat fits next to two Diono car seats. Three across is in the smaller VW Alltrack. This is awesome too! A car seat in my opinion.
