Admittedly its modern design won't suit every bedroom decor but its utility is above all. Build quality seems very good and wall mounting would have been easier if the headboard wasn't in the way, but it went smoothly nonetheless. It would be nice if the assembly instructions stated the size of the anchor bolt drill and not "punch a hole". Once installed they worked great, the blue light jingling at the switch didn't keep us awake as some reviewers complained. And if this is a problem for some, how do they account for their ability to fall asleep while their bedmate reads in the light, albeit aimed at a book that emits much more light? My main concern after reading some of the negative reviews will be how long we will have uptime. Since this item is similar to many reading lights seen in hotels and other commercial applications, I have high hopes for it. Just take a look.
