Review on Samsung Lightweight Android Long Lasting Battery by Jeremy Byard

Good tablet at a good price

Got the 8 inch T290. If you understand what you get for your money, this tablet deserves five stars. No, there is no maximum processor speed or screen resolution. This is a budget tablet at a really good price (especially if you can snag it on sale) and you get a lot of bang for your buck. The display has a resolution of 1200 x 800 pixels, which is HD but not Ultra HD. What is most important for the legibility of on-screen text is the pixel density. The 8-inch, 1200 x 800 resolution display has a pixel density of 180 pixels per inch (PPI), and that's not too bad. My 6th Gen Kindle Paperwhite has a pixel density of just over 210 ppi, so this tablet isn't too far off. If small fonts are difficult to read, you can increase the font and element size in the settings. The display also has good colors and contrasts and is reasonably bright. The included blue light filter app doesn't have as many options as I'd like, so I added one from the Google Play Store. Speaking of which, with an Android tablet (and this one comes with Android Pie) you have full access to the Google Play Store. The sound is much better than I expected and could be improved with a third party volume booster. And I think an 8 inch tablet is just the right size. A 10.1-inch tablet is too bulky for me and a smartphone is too small. And such an 8-inch tablet fits in the back pocket of men's trousers. (But not by much if you're carrying it around in a bag.) And it only weighs 12.5 ounces, which is a lot lighter than a 10.1-inch tablet. but for the price you get a good tablet.
