I bought an unknown grill lid hinge for my Weber kettle a while ago and it's great except sometimes I burn my forearm lifting the lid. Um To avoid this I ordered this pin. See attached image. As mentioned, the wall thickness required is slightly greater than that of the Weber kettle lid. This is easily remedied by installing an additional 5/16" stainless steel washer behind. One thing that's a little worrying is the nylon-inserted locking nut that came with it. I used a heat gun set at 700 degrees and the nylon softened. I'm not sure. The fumes from it are bad. If you loosen the nut replace with a regular hex nut and lock washer I think the M10 thread which comes in Big Orange or Big Blue h should be. The handle serves its intense purpose. No more burned guns!
