Honestly I do not recommend these items. tried to rotate them to the correct orientation and both broke off in my hands leaving a knurled silver handle on the tripod and part of the clamp in my hand. Luckily I didn't put an expensive iPad or iPhone inside or they would fall to the ground at a great height and become an expensive replacement. They're probably great for *VERY* light work, but if you try to move, rotate, or position them, they'll fall apart completely in your hands. I will be returning both for a replacement or refund. The photos show that the "welding" of the knurled portion of the handle is some sort of quick cold solder joint, not a screw or strong mount. Definitely a fragile structural element. Avoid them unless you intend to use them to clamp onto something other than a phone or tablet.
