Review on Hutzler 359RD Onion Saver Red by Brent Borseth

Love it! I bought the Onion Saver (in red) about 2 years ago and it works great (I still use it)! It's just a small plastic container with a lid that screws onto the bottom. It has a raised part in the middle of the bottom for the onion to rest on to protect it from the moisture created by storing the onion there (onions are pretty wet veggies or roots or whatever). So simple but works great! It doesn't give off any odor, it's simple, very easy to clean (you can put it in the dishwasher) and will definitely extend the life of your leftover bow so you can use it whole. I kept a partial onion there for 2 weeks without any problems. It's also quite large so you can get a nice sweet onion (which I prefer to others). My only criticism (reason 4 instead of 5 stars) is that after a year of washing I no longer want to easily fit the top and bottom together and have to close it and then pry something open at the seam with my fingernail. That's why I usually just close the two halves now, but don't twist them. It still works great because the top is now so snug that it doesn't need to be twisted together to prevent the top (or bottom) from coming loose when I pick it up. However, for such an inexpensive product, it's certainly sturdy and comfortable! Recommend!
