Edit: After rechecking my broken monitor, I found that just an inch or two of legs sticking out of the shelf makes the whole setup less stable. Despite the size of the surface, it still wasn't big enough to support the full length of my monitor legs. So I'm increasing my rating to 4 stars as the stand isn't to blame, but leaving a review to warn others to measure their monitor support before ordering this item. BTW, I used the extra rubber pads that came with it, but the extra inch on each foot that wasn't in contact with the stand changed the center of gravity a bit and made it easier to tip over. The original tirade is below. As you can see in the picture, my new $250 monitor is now garbage thanks to this $30 POS. All I did was push my chair away from the table to get up, like I did many times before I got this stand. But this time, as I was leaving, I heard a crash and turned around to see that the monitor had fallen off its stand. Note, however, that your monitor will be significantly less stable on this stand, even at low settings. To make sure it wasn't me, I bumped the table with the monitor on the table a couple of times and couldn't let it fall. There is only one support arm in the design, which is at the back instead of in the middle, causing the top shelf to tilt forward and wobble more. Also, without hesitation, when I pushed the already shattered monitor onto the stand from the back, I noticed that it tips over much more easily than it would on the table, suggesting that the top was already tilted forward slightly for the weight of the monitors. Monitor. Basically, if you ever hit your desk or there's an earthquake, your monitor is going to collapse hard. Unacceptable design, I should have tested it more thoroughly before using it.
