First of all, the packaging itself is impressive. Very elegant and well thought out. The stand itself follows suit; it's almost architectural. It's really well built, sturdy and consists of only three parts: a top plate, a bottom plate and a strut. Simply screw the plates to the top and bottom of the rack (using the tool provided) and you're done. Husband bought this monitor stand to make his workplace more ergonomic. This is exactly what I wanted. Now that I have to work from home temporarily and have a three monitor setup, I needed something for my work published by the Surface Pro that would help maximize my desktop space. Edit: After rechecking my broken monitor, I found that just an inch or two of legs sticking out of the shelf makes the whole setup less stable. Despite the size of the surface, it still wasn't big enough to support the full length of my monitor legs. So I'm increasing my rating to 4 stars as the stand isn't to blame, but leaving a review to warn others to measure their monitor support before ordering this item.
