Not as quiet as I imagined. It looks like a motor is running there and you definitely notice that when you are in the same room and you can still hear it in the next room at night. The temp in my room is 70 F. I'm wondering if I set the temp to -4 F, this freezer will finally get to -3 F and stop going down to keep it working. But if I set the temp to -3 F, this freezer eventually gets to -2 F and stops going down, so it keeps working. Either way, it will just work all the time. Also, when I put my hand on it for a few seconds, the temperature rose 7 F. This indicates not very good insulation. Update 09/16/2020: Two days after using Eco mode (because it's quieter than Max mode, which is too much for my ear) the compressor seems to be getting hot for unknown reasons. And the temp stayed at 17F even though I set it to -4F. My room has air conditioning, so there is no problem with the ambient temperature. The compressor side now feels like a heater.
