It feeds the baby - and is baby friendly

Ok, 'loving' formula is tricky, but if you need to boost your breastfeeding - or need to have something on hand for long trips - it's great. Although labeled as "toddler food", it meets all infant nutritional requirements. The company believes breast milk is best for babies, which is why they don't sell it to mothers with infants. Very respectable. I've read several reviews of infant formula - specifically to find out what actually is in infant formula. While I learned a lot about food preparation methods, labeling requirements and "generally accepted practices" from two dogs with severe food allergies, I was still a little surprised. Even in the world of "organic baby foodโ€ there are many processes that fall short of organic standards. I know we live in the real world where there are toxins and no way to prevent any kind of contact. I even knew that too much of everything is bad, but I truly believe that children should be given the best food. I make my own baby food at home with a food mill and use locally sourced, organic fruits and vegetables as much as possible, but until then I will be feeding them to my daughter. A "minus" is that she was slightly constipated. - So if she eats more formula than breast milk, she drinks an ounce of pear or prune juice (ask your doctor) and this helps keep her meals regular.
