Beside BFing it is better! (But watch the price.)

I'll start with a preface to my review: I'm a mother who successfully gave birth to my first two children and would never think of giving birth to them either just give a gram of this formula. Let's fast forward a few years. I was getting older and suddenly I had to support TWO children at the same time and mother nature wasn't so kind to me this time. When my eldest was an infant, I carefully studied formulas and decided that if the need ever arised, I would feed my children this mixture. I…

Good for reflux, bad for constipation

I've been racking my brains on how to rate this formula. This completely cured my daughter of reflux but she ended up with insane constipation. Now she is 8 months old and this is my second try. I added an additional 30ml of water per bottle (if she was eating a 4 ounce bottle, I'd have 5 ounces of water) to make sure she was staying hydrated. We ended up having to make some suppositories and physically help her defecate with the golf ball sized hard stool the first time. We changed the…

It feeds the baby - and is baby friendly

Ok, 'loving' formula is tricky, but if you need to boost your breastfeeding - or need to have something on hand for long trips - it's great. Although labeled as "toddler food", it meets all infant nutritional requirements. The company believes breast milk is best for babies, which is why they don't sell it to mothers with infants. Very respectable. I've read several reviews of infant formula - specifically to find out what actually is in infant formula. While I learned a lot about food…

Going back to work when your baby is only a few months old, it's hard for mom. With each of my children, my supply suffered severely as soon as I returned to work. By my fourth child, I knew it was inevitable. I tried everything to save my supplies and was able to build up a huge stock of frozen milk before going back to work when she was only 6 weeks old. By the time she was 4 months old, my supply of frozen breast milk ran out and I was only getting 2-4 ounces when pumping at work. I knew it…

100% Feeding Recommended

After doing a lot of research on infant formula when I realized that breastfeeding was not the only way I could support my baby, I found this infant formula. A friend of mine who is a breastfeeding advocate recommended that if for some reason she was unable to breastfeed, this was the only formula she would ever consider. After researching the ingredients and finding that it contained no corn syrup sweetener, palm oil, carrageenan, or hexane-derived DHA/ARA, I was convinced. Corn…

Probably the best formula on the market

Love love love this product for my 2.5 month old boy. I'm his foster mom so unfortunately I can't breastfeed him. I have used breast milk donated by others but it is not permanent. We had our little boy when he was 4 days old and I've always wondered if he has milk sensitivity. We've tried so many other formulas (all organic and non-GMO) and tried to create our own. But most have corn, whey, and glucose syrup, so he's always had trouble digesting those foods. He was fussy and I could tell he…

Tell me if I can be wrong

Okay, that might be verbose, but it's proof. So this was the first formula I chose to supplement my 7 week old son with. At first I was happy with it and was surprised that his stool was soft and not shaped like compounds tend to be. My son was born with low blood sugar so I check his sugar regularly and it's always highest when I'm breastfeeding but not as high when I take supplements and I noticed he drank the bottle faster and so more time between had meals and so he had lower blood sugar…
