I always have trouble with my 11.5" wide feet. I usually order a half size up, but since loafers take a long time to arrive, I ordered wide shoes that matched my length exactly. Usually I avoid this type of shoes because my feet don't fit in loafers.I was worried that when the shoes arrived my feet wouldn't fit at all but I was able to wear these shoes. It was a bit tight but that's exactly what I had due to based on my previous experience with my feet. I bought a shoe stretcher and it worked. With some stretch for the shoe and some wear and tear, the shoe now fits perfectly and accommodates. As for the style, I like it. These are really great looking ones Shoes that are well made. I get compliments. My old pair of Clarks lasted many years - I still wear them. But it's a rather classic style and looks very clean and crisp. If you have a wide foot but are concerned about loafers, I recommend buying wider shoes and considering a shoe tree. Although you might not need a stretcher, because the shoes break in perfectly. When I take them off at night I use cedar to keep them in shape.
