Cheap Chinese made cables with poor connectivity/performance

I tried these cables and started having occasional connectivity issues. At first glance, the cables looked physically well made. The cables were nice and thick and looked sturdy enough. But appearances can be deceiving in this case. I bought these for my portable SSD drives. I've encountered occasional issues where the drive isn't recognized when connected, or performance drops drastically (e.g. it's having trouble maintaining a connection). I even copied some data using one of these cables, only to find that when I connected my SSD to another computer (using an OEM USB-C cable), the copied data could not be found and prompted me to restore the disk . Apparently something went wrong with the data transfer (maybe because of one of those cables). To take it a step further, I've posted performance test results on both of the two-pack cables I used for a USB-C 3.1 Gen2 (aka USB 3.2 Gen2 or USB 3.1 up to 10Gbps) port. bought. . I've also posted identical test results using OEM USB-C cable devices. With a portable SSD and the port it was connected to with this cable, the sequential read speed should have been around 1000Mbps, although it was under 100Mbps on cable #1 of 2 I tested lay. The second of the two performed satisfactorily, similar to the OEM cable which outperformed both of these cables. Also, the runtime for this performance test for cable #1 of 2 was so long (>1 hour) that I had to stop it where it was. This alerts me to clear connectivity issues with the cable I tested and that these cables are random at best in terms of quality and reliability. Obviously, this leads me to believe that the reviews posted so far may be just testing these cables for charging (which can work fine in most conditions) or be mutual five-star reviews in exchange for monetary compensation after purchasing the cable ( common practice). in China). seller based on Revain). In any case, based on my experience with these cables, I am not taking any chances with these cables made in China, the method of manufacture of which is now highly questionable. I bought cheap Chinese cables of different types and uses to save money and had similar quality issues when I finally had to bite the bullet and pay for a quality cable made by a quality company. I don't trust these cables with my data. Others may be different and take the cheaper route by purchasing these cables. If yes. MUCH LUCK!
