My father had a stroke, he can't use his phone and is now in a nursing home. We cannot enter the nursing home because of the virus. There is a window in his room, but nothing can be heard through the glass. This intercom works great. The base unit is on the table next to his bed and stays on. This prevents him from touching the device. I use the remote control when I go to the window. This works very well. That is very clear. It also allows me to talk to people who work at the nursing home when they are in his room. It's well built and easy to use. Customer service was very helpful when I called and asked for a different remote control for my sister. Because of the weak voice, the device must be close to the head. This product has made dealing with a terrible situation much easier.
