Review on πŸͺ‘ Enhance Your Workspace with the HON Basyx Hive Designer Task Chair - Black by Deb Wilkes

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Nice chair but overpriced

The first thing that attracted me to this chair was its design. The frame of the chair is white (plastic), the cushions are made of black fabric. Wheels are also black. The overall design creates a nice modern contrast. The white mesh back is particularly striking. This chair claims to be BIFMA validated to ensure comfort and performance in a work environment. I'm not a chair specialist, but I can confirm that this chair is very comfortable. The cushion is on the firm side, very comfortable, and the seat is quite large, making it easy to find a comfortable position. Because it's made of fabric, it doesn't get as hot as leather, which improves comfort. The lumbar support is excellent, the back does not hurt even with prolonged use. The seat slides back and forth to adapt to the user's body and preferred geometry. The armrests are adjustable to the desired height. Of course, the seat height can be adjusted. There are downsides too. Although the chair is height adjustable, it doesn't sink too low. This is quite a "big" chair and people 5ft 2" tall or smaller will need a footstool. The armrests don't recline if you prefer an armless setup or want to slide the chair completely under the table. The only solution is to completely remove the hands. There is also a serious problem with the quality of materials or quality control. The frame of the chair has paint defects and scratches almost everywhere. Also, the seam of the fabric fails and you can see the threads of the fabric, especially in the corners. I have shown a few examples in my photos. 1 star deducted for that. Overall this is a good and very comfortable chair. But the price is too high for what is offered and the quality control fails. Also, for $300+, you would expect a chair to have more features, such as: B. Adjustable armrests and more height adjustment. I think a price between $200 and $220 would be more realistic. Another 1 star deduction for the price.
