I have used similar products in the past and have been working on a cheap upgrade for the Kramer Beretta Special. It changed the guitar and confused my brother when I showed it to him. He wasn't sure how I got there. What the photos don't show is how it changes color and reflectance when it's at an angle to the light. It can look like a metal insert or a matte one depending on how you hold it. I opted for a gold orange wine inlay and it was just what I needed to make the guitar pop with all the gold hardware. From a few inches away, I can't tell if they're decals. However, I can feel this particular decal under my fingers on several frets when playing, which I haven't felt before with other brands I've used. Not particularly annoying, just FYI. Highly recommended.
