Thunderbolt 3 (TB3) is still finding its way into consumer lives and the technology industry. Its use cases are few but really effective. TB3 cables are notoriously expensive, but this one isn't. It's from a reputable brand which should give you more confidence in the quality and shouldn't burn your devices or worst case scenario, set them on fire. While it is indeed stiff, which likely adds to durability, it reduces usability. They are also short by specification. It's half speed (20GB) but long enough to be useful. I mainly use it to charge my phone while sitting at my laptop. My cell phone will be on the table and charging, but the cable is still long enough for me to pick up the cell phone and look at it without any problems. It rolls up well enough to fit in my laptop bag. If you really need a full-speed (40Gbps) TB3, you'll need another cable, which is also about 12 inches long and minimally usable.
