Review on 🛠️ Makita 9031 8 Inch 21 Inch Variable - Efficient and Versatile Power Tool by Ronnie Segobiano

After 6+ months of regular use this tool has become one of my favorite tools. Speed control, tool quality, noise level, ergonomics, materials, ease of changing belts, etc. - everything is absolutely perfect and worth its price. For working with wood, metal and fiberglass (boats), this is an invaluable tool that you cannot even imagine your life without. Especially when working with GRP boats, being able to sand the inner radius or spring surface quickly and cleanly is a game changer. There's a significant problem with the design: if you plan on using a dust collector, you'll probably need to remove the bolt and cover, as well as make a male-to-male adapter to attach a hose to the thing. This assumes you already have small European-style vacuum hoses. If you have a typical 7/8" to 1.5" vacuum and hoses, you will need a set of adapters. I don't understand why Makita didn't include an adapter or come up with a better dust collection design. Dust collection is the main reason I spent 10x more on this device than a similar all-in-one tool I've used in the past. Makita appears to have designed this tool to use a very small hose that needs to be routed *into* the dust collection port. I have not found a suitable hose for this purpose. Overall I am very happy with this tool!
