Well I'm really pissed right now. Like a bad bum. I got this to protect my keyboard. apparently. And I was waiting to review it because I wanted to give an honest review. I have a 2020 M1 Macbook Pro (with custom touch bar). And it was great for that feature because I needed a lid that didn't cover the touchpad, so kudos for that feature. BUT. A few months went by and I started noticing normal wear and tear. "E", space, "O" and several other keys that I use most often started to wear out completely. First, I could never tell when my keyboard was in all caps because black definitely blocks the light on the caps lock key. But it is not important. Eventually I started seeing through the commonly used keys on the lid directly onto the keyboard itself. So I decided to take it off today to clean the keyboard and just reconfigure everything. I've noticed that the color on the keyboard cover has literally transferred to my keyboard from the rubbed keys and now I have black marks on those keys that won't go away at all. I rubbed and rubbed first with a keyboard cleaner, then with a damp cloth, then even with some soap and water. Nothing worked. So these buttons now look really weird when I tap them and in certain lighting conditions it's the ONLY thing I can see. And for someone who just got this laptop and was proud to have something good for once, that's very, very disappointing and frustrating. To be honest, I'm angry. I got this case to protect my keyboard but in my opinion it completely ruined it. Maybe the color will rub off over time because I don't put the lid back on after I found out it happened, but these keys are weirdly sticky and the keyboard makes my laptop look like it's a year old and not a few months old . Don't buy this if you value your good expensive laptop!
