Earrings have a flat rubber backing, not a metal backing as shown in the photo.
The earrings are cute so it's a pity the back caps are not metal with rubber stoppers as shown in the photos. The backing is flat and rubber/plastic, my girls ears are sensitive, this flat rubber backing prevents the pierced ear from breathing and in my experience causes infection.
