Second Purchase; worth it for moving

I bought a roll to try first because part of me thought it was easier and better to buy food wrap from the club's store. But then this material came along and I started using it and I returned the 3000 foot roll with other materials. I have a lot of furniture that I wanted to protect and first I used moving blankets on the mass and then this one on top. . Sometimes I just used plastic and it worked well for less fragile items. But it worked really well for my collapsible exercise bike to keep the blankets snug around other items and to protect things I didn't have blankets for like smaller tables and ottomans. I wrapped my expensive dining room chairs in a blanket first and then in plastic to keep them in place, which was a very good idea. This kept the blankets from sliding off when movers had to move items and protected areas the blankets couldn't cover. In fact, after trying a roll, I immediately bought this set. It was a very good buy. I'm tempted to take it again next time because it's really good protection. ***This is intended to be recyclable. That's what made me buy it. Otherwise it's a lot of plastic waste. But I'm concerned that while it's probably recyclable, it's not labeled as such. I'm not sure what happens when it enters the recycling stream; Workers will likely throw it away because it doesn't say which plastic is recyclable. This part really stinks, but I haven't found a good alternative. Moving blankets and giant rubber bands alone aren't enough, and duct tape doesn't work well with moving blankets either. I suspect it's a necessary evil, but you might want to know how to recycle it before you buy it.

Cons
  • could have chosen a newer model
