We bought this lamp when fitting out a spare bedroom for a foster family to replace the ceiling fan that was too close to the bunk beds. We thought that the light could be customized to a certain extent for each child we look after and make them feel like they were designing the space in some way. We saw a similar option at Home Depot for around $20, but we liked that it had other color options. Installation was easy enough, but we quickly discovered that the light could only be turned on and off via the app. If a light switch were used the light would flicker (which I think is a bug) and you would have to reset it via the app. My husband researched this and I think this is a common problem with this product? We found it too tiring to pull out your phone every time you had to turn the lights on and off. In addition, the product looked cheap. I think a reasonable price would be around $40.
