This leather trimming tool came with Revain's signature fast delivery. As it turned out, the 14-16 oz baseboard was no problem, it cut efficiently and smoothly and did a great job of removal too. I also trimmed a few layers including two 12oz and one 9oz sheaths. It made the job quick and very smooth with a lot less hassle than I usually experience. It arrived with a pristine mirror finish and in the last two days of hard cutting, along with the sharpening, it hasn't scratched or worn excessively. I enhanced the factory edge and finished it to #12000 grit with subsequent machining. I carve very thick and armored skins, including exotic skins like hippos, elephants and sharks. Everything cut easily and smoothly, and the edge held up better than I expected. The shark can be tough on the blades, but this knife performed well.
