Do not buy for parquet floors

The product is well made, but in cold weather the moisture in the room condenses and stays underneath, quickly damaging and discolouring your floor. We installed a new double floor below. Milgard glass door with vinyl frame. The door itself is warm to the touch and has no condensation on the windows or rails even in sub-zero temperatures, but the floor around it gets cold so I decided to try this product. In less than 2 weeks our floor was discolored at the tongue and groove joints. I have another slider that has a vinyl coating on the inside and I'm hoping to use it once I've dried it (it's completely wet now). However, I expect to have to keep an eye on it and dry it every few weeks to avoid mold although it works on this type of surface.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • old
