Review on ASUS Designo MX27UC Type C Monitor - Adaptive 50Hz, Flicker-Free, Blue Light, Frameless, HD, 4K Display by Rohit Lahiri

Revainrating 2 out of 5

I have something to say

If you're buying this monitor for a USB-C connection, look elsewhere. According to Asus, this monitor requires a firmware update ("Firmware 106") and the only way to get this firmware is to send it to Asus so they can update it themselves. This means spending your own money to update their product's firmware to use an input feature that doesn't work out of the box. I do not know why. At the price this thing is being sold for, I am amazed when using the HDMI connection at how fuzzy some things can appear. There's also incredible mouse lag. The sound quality is also what you should expect. It's not incredible, but it's not bad at all. Very doable. The buttons are on the right corner of the monitor and they're awful. You never know which button does what because there are no messages telling you which button does what, other than power. Although the monitor is just great. It's metal with very small bezels, I mean these things are nice to look at. If they are off and you imagine they are working fine. Conclusion: I'll keep my hands off Asus products from now on. Stay away from this monitor and this company.
