I looked around for a while before deciding on these citrus shampoos and conditioners. They seemed reasonably priced compared to the competition and promised minimal packaging. I've tried cutting plastic wherever possible and that seemed like a good start, but I was hesitant. My long, curly, very thick, coarse hair needs a lot of moisture and I wasn't sure a bar would do that. I've only used it once so far, but my hair feels surprisingly well cared for. The shampoo lathers like other products and rinses out well, leaving me feeling "squeaky" clean. With my thick hair, the conditioner took a little more effort. I found that I had to run the strip down the length of my hair. I always brush my tangles in the shower while the conditioner is in my hair and this seems to have helped the conditioner work better. It took some work to find the perfect amount of water on my hair for the product to work well. So far I'm happy with the product, but time will tell. I will try to update this review after about a month of use to let you know if my hair likes the product. OH and an added bonus.
