Secure the switches permanently with metal tape. Get rid of the weak spring.
Product works like OEM. I removed the activation handle and spring system which never work properly unless the body deforms enough from the heat. Simply take a piece of metal tape and permanently attach the switch actuators to the interlock switches. Stick and pen are no longer needed. The dishwasher will run as usual, but BEWARE, the dishwasher will keep running if you open the door in the middle of a cycle (the only downside of the retrofit system).
