Review on Spectra Studebaker Turntable Cassette SB6052 by Jay Maryland

Revainrating 5 out of 5

You get what you pay for

For the price, this system delivers. I like the lid that protects the turntable from dust and cat hair, and also from my cat. I've just started using it but it seems to be playing fine. I haven't tested the cassette player since I got rid of it years ago. I'd say it sounds a bit tinny, but it's not a high-end player. The power/volume control is a little tight. The speakers are ok but I will definitely buy another set to hook them up. The wooden box looks great from a distance. It looks a bit cheap on closer inspection, but I'm the only one who can get a hold of it. Look, you get what you pay for. $90-$120 is an average quality system. If you expect more, pay at least $150. A good system for the price. If this changes I will update.
