In addition to my three large dogs (two Saint Bernards and a giant German Shepherd), I also transport dogs to rescue local people. I always have dogs in the car. I also just bought a brand new SUV so I try to keep the seats as clean as possible. This pet barrier is just what I needed. It's easy to set up and fairly durable. The only time the dog managed to pull him down was when his leash was tied to the barrier and he was pulling very hard. He was determined to run away and since he was the savior I had no idea how smart he was! However, most dogs will not be able to pull through. It can be easily detached when needed and folds easily so it can be placed under the seat. I drive a 2016 Dodge Journey and it fits very well both assembled and when I need to put it away. It also doesn't take up much cargo space when folded up, so there's still plenty of room for your dog. This is one of my best purchases this year!
