Easy assembly, great idea. The plastic is thin and doesn't hold up. The shelf is rated at 5 lbs. capacity but over 1 lb. and he bent down and food/objects fell off the tray. It will hold if the entire bracket can rest against the seat back, but since the seats in my Nissan Frontier, Subaru Forester and Toyota Rav4 have reclineable backs, you need to recline the seat far forward to be comfortable. . Another complaint is that the grip strength of the tablet holder itself is very weak, tablets fall out every time we hit a bump in the road. We used 2 tablets: 7" Kindle Fire and 7" Samsung Galaxy Tab. Out of the 2 blocks we bought, 1 is already broken. My 3 year old tilted the tablet and managed to break the arm holding the tablet holder. They are difficult to recommend due to the weak/fragile nature of the holders.
