Review on MySplint Moldable Thermoplastic Strains Sprains by Justin Sherman

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Easy enough to set up and customize.

I needed something for my tendonitis and it worked well. Simply place the plastic in the microwave and heat for 10 seconds at a time. The instructions are detailed and, I would say, easy to understand. They're actually saying not to rush the process, so I took my time. After a while I had a splint supporting my thumb up and down which is great. I really wanted to reshape mine after a while because I felt like I could get more support from it once the plastic reached my palm, so I repeated the steps and was able to reshape it. I would recommend as the price is right and the facility is great. My advice: push the plastic as far forward as you can while molding, to allow the plastic to wrap around your palm a bit. I read a review where I was worried it might be a return. Mine came with no extra pouch, but the molded plastic was flat and straight, so I'm guessing it's brand new.

Pros
  • Commonly used for carpal tunnel, tendonitis, arthritis pain, De Quervain Syndrome etc.
Cons
  • Minor problems
