The modules were sent quickly. They were in perfect condition. HiLetGo sent out emails to see if I had any installation questions. My first step was to connect the two in a master/slave transmit/receive system. I'm sorry that not all cables are properly connected, but it works. I'm using two NodeMCUs, each equipped with an OLED module (via I2C). I used the CAN-BUS Shield library and Blink transmit/receive sketches. modified to use OLED modules. Some of you may be wondering how I connected modules that require 5V to an MCU with an output of 3.3V. Simple: connect the VCC pins on the module to Vin on the MCU and make sure you power the MCU with 5V from the USB connector. The next step is to set up the receiver and connect it to the ODB-II port to read data from my machine.
