I bought a Homepot Pro for my Nintendo Switch and while I love it I was disappointed with the lack of USB-C pass-through for power . It certainly helped. Of course, this isn't just limited to the home pro. You should be able to connect any USB device to the switch. If you want to use something like a GameCube adapter, you can probably just plug a second USB into the battery pack for extra power. This can be useful if you want to play longer game sessions with the GameCube controller.
