This is a very functional and therefore universal USB-C hub. It allows you to connect many types of peripherals. I didn't check if it was rate limiting but I did look at the voltage and current it was feeding into the USB DAC. This cable delivers lower voltage than any other solution I have. Most deliver around 5V, but this one only delivers 4.66V. For DACs, which are very current hungry, this prevented them from being fully functional. Update: Works loading and reading my small microsd card reader. :) I asked for connection to oneplus 7t and they told me that there were some bugs in their oneplus (generic?) test. So I decided to give it a try anyway. On my OnePlus 7t: 1) It loads and delivers data if that data is on one of my small USB sticks. 2) but it will NOT charge or mount a date with my large 500GB OTG SSD. .
