I used to use the micro-USB version of this cable for Fire TV Sticks, but this one works for USB-C devices. I bought this to add an Ethernet adapter to my Google Chromecast with Google TV. The Google ethernet adapter cable is just a replacement power cord with an ethernet port on the side, but I prefer an ethernet adapter with USB ports for a wireless keyboard or other device, and you can use regular USB devices with this cable connect to your Chromecast. which only has a USB-C connection for power supply. I am happy with the purchase.
