I bought this specifically for use with a Zoom audio recorder and am very happy with it. Brilliant design. Its support and flexibility on level ground is perfect - just what you need and nothing more. You can even rotate it to balance it on a slightly inclined surface. It also acts as a comfortable grip and is extremely portable. I'll probably buy another one as a spare along with other gear like a Canon G series camera. As with buying ALL tripods, make sure you choose one that matches the size and weight of the subject you're planning to photograph . Support. This is PERFECT for small to medium sized cameras and other items such as small digital audio recorders. (I can only imagine how capable the machine would be if it were made of thick metal, but it's already so perfectly balanced that it would be overkill in terms of weight and cost.) Highly recommend!
